Publish the unit's learner guide and press one button. RTO Grow renders it as an interactive course — sections, key-takeaway flip cards and inline self-check questions — and files it against the unit. There is no second editor to keep in sync: you edit the guide, not the course.
Gamify the whole unit
Same unit, different format. A generated game course built from your content: hazard spotting, equipment selection, emergency triage, priority simulations, timelines, sorting and scenario decisions. Publish both and students choose the readable version or the game — finishing either one counts.

It tells you when it's gone stale
Edit the learner guide after the course was built and the unit shows an amber 'behind your guide' flag until you regenerate. The silent drift between the document and the module is the failure mode we designed this around.

SCORM 1.2 specifically — the version every LMS on the market supports. xAPI and cmi5 are not supported today, and we'd rather say that here than surprise you after you've signed.

The questions RTOs actually ask us
Can I upload the SCORM I already paid for?▾
Yes. Drag the zip in, and it plays in the student portal and reports back like it would on any other LMS. There's nothing to rebuild and no per-package charge. This is the most common way RTOs start: keep the modules you own, add the units you never got around to building.
Can I get my courses back out again?▾
Yes. Anything you build in RTO Grow downloads as a self-contained SCORM 1.2 zip — images bundled in, standard manifest, no proprietary wrapper — and loads into any compliant LMS. Full data export is never charged for. We'd rather you stay because the platform is good than because leaving is painful.
Which SCORM version, exactly?▾
SCORM 1.2, both directions. That's the version with near-universal LMS support, which is why it's the one we implemented first. xAPI and cmi5 are not supported today.
Does finishing the eLearning make a student competent?▾
No — and that's deliberate. Finishing a module is engagement, and RTO Grow records it as engagement. Competency comes from the assessment, marked by a trainer who holds authority for that unit, and that outcome is what flows through to the certificate and your NAT files. An auditor asking how a C outcome was reached should never be pointed at a SCORM completion flag, so we don't let one be the answer.
Do I need Storyline, or a learning designer on staff?▾
No. If you have a learner guide you can publish an interactive course from it today, and a gamified version alongside it. If you already have Storyline modules and someone who knows how to build them, keep using them — upload the output and carry on.
What happens when the unit or the legislation changes?▾
You edit the learner guide and press update. The unit flags itself as behind the guide until you do, so the drift is visible instead of silent, and students get the new version about a minute after you regenerate. No agency quote, no waiting on a third party.
Do I have to build the same module once per course?▾
No. Content is filed against the unit of competency, not the course. Build a unit once and every qualification, skill set or short course containing that unit serves it automatically — including the ones you add next year.
