✦ The people behind RTO Grow

Who builds it, who supports it, and who advises us.

RTO Grow is run by a small Australian team, guided by an advisory board with experience across training, technology, healthcare and partnerships.

The people you deal with

A small team, and you can reach all of us.

Kylmyn Cowburn-Cainer

Director
Known as Mini. Western Australia.

Mini built RTO Grow and sets its direction. She has six years in the Australian VET sector and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, so she has been through the qualification your trainers hold.

Before VET she worked in banking, superannuation and finance, where record keeping, reporting deadlines and audit trails are the daily job and a gap has immediate consequences. That is the standard she holds RTO Grow's records and reporting to.

She has run several businesses of her own. Most of her weeks include demos, support calls and time inside client operations, which is where the roadmap comes from.

  • In the sector: Six years, Australian VET
  • Qualified: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Focus: Product direction and development, operator relationships

Ehtisham Saeed

SEO and Websites

Ehtisham works on search visibility and websites. That covers how a prospective student finds your course in the first place, and what happens between the course page and a completed enrolment. Most providers lose more enquiries in that gap than they realise.

  • Focus: SEO, websites, student acquisition

Hayley Crick

Customer Success

Hayley works with providers on getting set up and getting the most out of the platform. If you are stuck, she is one of the people who will help.

Zoe Morgan

Customer Success

Zoe supports providers day to day, from onboarding through to the questions that come up mid term. She is a named contact for your account.

William Mallaby

Customer Success

Will supports providers day to day and brings a high risk industry perspective to the work. He has more than fifteen years in rope access and works in work health and safety in oil and gas, so he has sat through a great deal of the training our clients deliver, from the seat of the person being assessed.

He is currently studying a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment while working, which is the position most vocational students are in.

  • Background: Fifteen years rope access, work health and safety
  • Currently: Studying Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Denise Rogers

Operations and Administration

Denise keeps the business running behind the scenes, from accounts and administration through to the day to day operations that keep everything else moving.

Simon Williams

Adelaide, South Australia

Simon reviews all code before release and advises on architecture, scale and engineering practice. Every change that reaches the platform has been through an independent senior engineering review.

He is currently a lead software developer and was previously Head of Technology at a Melbourne group, leading a team of twenty across Melbourne and Manila, and took a legacy monolith through to a service oriented, component based stack. Before that he led development on a national accommodation comparison platform integrating live rates and availability from major booking providers.

Kylie Robertson

Partnerships
Greater Sydney

Kylie is a strategic partnerships leader in the banking sector, with five years building and running partnerships in and around education.

Her earlier career covers pricing strategy, CRM design and implementation, and events and communications across financial services and information services. She has delivered through corporate mergers and acquisitions and through an IPO process, so she has seen how commercial relationships hold up when a business changes shape underneath them.

She advises on partner strategy, which partnerships are worth pursuing, and how those agreements are structured.

  • Background: Partnerships, pricing, CRM, marketing strategy
  • Sector: Banking and financial services

Louise Hansen

Health and community services

Louise is a senior nurse practitioner with nearly twenty years in mental health nursing.

Health and community services is one of the largest training markets in the country and one of the most demanding to deliver. Louise brings that clinical perspective to how the platform handles evidence, currency and learner support.

She advises on this. RTO Grow does not provide clinical or wellbeing services.

As the accountable executive he has completed ASQA re-registration audits, Construction Skills Queensland audits and Victorian funding contract audits. He has sat where you sit, with his name on the outcome. He runs Healy & Partners, advising Australian business owners on growth and exit.
