Which plan, and who moves your data
A student counts once, in the year their first enrolment starts. Completed and withdrawn students never count towards a new year. Short-course students like first aid count the same way, then drop off when they finish.

Can I use RTO Grow just as a student management system?
Yes. Enrol students, record unit results, issue certificates and run your reporting. The LMS, booking and content tools are there if you want them later, and you never have to touch them.
Will it handle my state's government funding codes?
Each government contract you set up carries its own codes and eligibility questions. If your state's codes aren't loaded yet, send them through and we set them up, then every funded enrolment picks them up automatically.
Can distance students start whenever they like?
Yes. Every enrolment is individual, so a student who enrols today can start tomorrow at their own pace. Groups are optional. Face-to-face classes are bookings, so a student can join the next run of a unit whenever it comes round.
What happens when a unit or qualification is superseded?
Mark it superseded, enter the new code and import the replacement from training.gov.au. The old one drops out of view, and everyone enrolled in it stays on record.
How do I move my student information across from my old database?
Export from your old system, then import it yourself under Settings, Tools. Or send us the export and we migrate it for $2,000 (included on Scale and Enterprise).
Do I have to do my finance in RTO Grow?
No. Keep your accounting software for your books. RTO Grow still tracks what each student owes and has paid, and the funding claimed against each enrolment, so the admin team can see it without opening the accounts.
Can I build my own reports?
Yes. Reporting is fully custom. Build finance, enrolment, funding and compliance reports the way you need them, without raising a support ticket.
