How the migration works

Import, check, and undo if it is wrong

Bring students, trainers, courses, units and enrolments across by CSV. Every row either lands or is reported back to you with the reason, nothing is silently skipped.

  1. 1Export from your current systemAny system that exports CSV works, VETtrak, aXcelerate, Wisenet, or the spreadsheets you have been surviving on.
  2. 2Map to our templatesTemplates ship with headers and realistic example rows. Demographics accept plain words or AVETMISS codes, we normalise either.
  3. 3Import with a per-row reportEvery failed row comes back with its row number, the reason, and the raw data, fix and re-run. No silent skips, ever.
  4. 4Check it, or undo itEvery imported record is stamped with its import batch. Spot-check the result, and if something is wrong, one click rolls the whole batch back.

Quick answers.

What happens to rows that fail?

You get a list: row number, reason, and the raw data for every failure. Nothing is silently skipped. Fix the rows and re-import, duplicates are detected so re-running is safe.

Can I undo an import?

Yes, every import is a batch with a one-click rollback. One honest limit: if imported rows have already gone into a lodged AVETMISS submission, the rollback refuses, because unwinding lodged compliance data should never happen quietly.

Which systems can I migrate from?

Anything that exports CSV: VETtrak, aXcelerate, Wisenet, spreadsheets. You map your export to our templates, which ship with example rows.

Can I get my data back out later?

Yes. AVETMISS NAT files and CSV exports are built in, on every plan. Leaving is as easy as arriving, we would rather keep you with the product than with a locked door.

Do you charge for migration?

The import tools are part of every plan. Talk to us about your dataset before you start, the review costs nothing.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on the state of your export, so we will not quote a fantasy number. The mechanical import is minutes per batch; the honest work is checking your source data, and the per-row error report does most of that for you.
