Quick answers.

Is it a real LMS or an SMS with a content tab?

A real LMS: students learn on the platform with lessons, quizzes, SCORM 1.2 packages and progress tracking, and a real SMS: enrolments, payments, USI, AVETMISS and certificates. One record underneath both.

How does access control work?

Role-based. Admins see the whole RTO, trainers see their own students and marking queue, students see only their own record. It is enforced with row-level security at the database, not just hidden menus.

Can trainers see other trainers' students?

No. A trainer's views are scoped to the students assigned to them.

What about students who exist in both my current LMS and SMS?

You import once via CSV and they become one record. The importer reports any row it could not match, and every import can be undone.

Does the audit trail cover the whole journey?

Yes, enrolment changes, payments, marking decisions and certificate issuance are all logged against the record as they happen.
