About this course
This bundle brings together three units of competency that are in consistent demand across civil construction, earthmoving, and infrastructure projects. You will train to operate a skid steer loader, a wheeled front end loader, and a tip truck — building the practical skills and underpinning knowledge required to work safely and competently with each piece of plant and equipment. Training covers pre-operational checks, machine controls, load handling, site communication, and compliance with work health and safety requirements relevant to each unit.
This bundle suits people who are new to the civil construction industry and want to get across multiple pieces of equipment in one enrolment, as well as existing workers looking to formalise their skills or add tickets to what they already hold. If you are moving into civil works, earthmoving, quarrying, or related site-based roles, holding competency across these three units gives you practical versatility that employers across those sectors regularly look for.
On completing the bundle, you will be able to conduct pre-start and operational checks on all three machines, move and place materials to required specifications, carry out safe tip truck loading and unloading procedures, and apply relevant legislation and site safety practices in each context. Roles such as plant operator, tip truck driver, and civil construction labourer are among those this training may lead to.
