Organisational Disruption Support Skill Set

Disruption is no longer the exception — pandemics, natural disasters, cyber incidents, economic shocks and major organisational change all test how well an organisation and its people can respond. This nationally recognised skill set builds the practical capabilities supervisors and team leaders need to support their organisation through disruption: on the operational side and on the human side. Across two units you will learn to identify disruptive events and the business risks behind them, assess the extent of disruption, assist a structured organisational response, and evaluate how well it worked (BSBOPS407X) — and to manage psychological health and safety through the same events: assessing psychosocial risk, contributing to communications and consultation, supporting employees in distress, and maintaining a supportive work environment (BSBWHS432X). The units provide credit towards BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business, BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.
