Where: Trainer portal → "Marking Queue"
- Press "Marking Queue" in the sidebar. A red badge on it shows how many attempts are waiting.
- Read the four counters at the top: "Awaiting Marking", "Competent", "NYC" (short for not yet competent) and "Total".
- Use the tabs to filter the list: "Pending" (waiting on you), "Competent", "NYC" and "All".
- On the "Pending" tab, each row shows the student, the unit of competency, the date submitted, and a "Waiting" badge counting the days since they submitted. Long waits turn amber, then red.
- A numbered badge in the "Attempt" column (for example "#2") means this is a resubmission.
- Press "Mark" on a row to open that attempt and record your decision. On already-marked rows the button reads "View".
What happens next
The queue only shows work assigned to you — plus unassigned submissions if your training provider allows trainers to pick those up.
If something looks wrong
If a submission you expect isn't listed, it may be assigned to another trainer. Ask your admin to check the assignment.
