Where: Trainer portal → "Marking Queue"
If you notice straight away (within 3 minutes):
- Go back to "Marking Queue" and find the row you marked — it's now on the "Competent" or "NYC" tab.
- Press the undo arrow button on the row. It only appears for about three minutes after you marked.
- You'll see "Mark retracted — returned to pending". The attempt moves back to the "Pending" tab and you can mark it again fresh.
If it's been longer than three minutes:
- Find the attempt on the "Competent" or "NYC" tab and press "View".
- The marking page opens with your previous decision loaded, and a banner reading "You're amending a prior judgement".
- Change the question marks, outcome, method or feedback as needed.
- Press "Submit Judgement". You'll be asked for a reason for the override on the assessor declaration — type it, sign, and press "Sign & submit".
What happens next
Both the original mark and your change are kept on the audit trail, with timestamps and your reason.
If something looks wrong
If the certificate has already been issued for the course, changing an outcome is a bigger decision — check with your compliance officer before amending.
