Where: Enrolments → Applications
- Click "Enrolments" in the sidebar, then "Applications".
- Open the application you want to review.
- Check the submitted details. If the applicant gave a USI (Unique Student Identifier), use "Verify USI" to confirm it against the registry.
- Under "Delivery location for this enrolment", pick a location if the delivery has no default. You can't approve without one — AVETMISS (the national VET data standard) requires a location on every enrolment.
- Move the application along with the status buttons:
- "Mark under review" — you've started looking at it
- "Request documents" — type what's needed; this is sent to the applicant
- "Mark eligible" — ready to enrol
- Click "Approve → Enrol" to convert the application into an enrolment.
- To turn it down, click "Decline" and give a reason — the reason is kept for audit.
Whether an applicant meets entry or funding eligibility requirements is a judgement call — check with your compliance officer if unsure.
What happens next
Approving creates the enrolment and its per-unit progress records. The application shows as "Converted".
