Issue a certificate or statement of attainment

Where: Enrolments → open the learner's enrolment

  1. Click "Enrolments" in the sidebar and open the learner's enrolment.
  2. When every unit on the enrolment is marked competent, a green panel appears: "Issue this learner's certificate (testamur)" for a qualification, or their "Statement of Attainment" for a skill set or single unit.
  3. Click "Issue certificate".
  4. Confirm the prompt. This generates the certificate PDF and records it as issued.

What happens next The certificate gets a certificate number and is written to an issuance ledger that can't be edited — that record is what the download and verification pages read. Some deliveries are set to issue automatically when the final unit is marked competent, so you may find it already done.

If something looks wrong If issuing fails, the reason is shown in plain English — most often the learner's USI (Unique Student Identifier) isn't verified yet, or the course has no certificate template. Fix the cause and issue again. Whether a learner is entitled to a certificate is a compliance decision — check with your compliance officer if in doubt.
